I teach junior high science, math, and life skills in Room 608. 8th graders have lunch and studyhall in Room 608. Expect to use some computer technology in Room 608 this year--that is, several websites will be useful to you this year, if you want to keep up with what is happening in Room 608. http://infodirect.us/nor01 for homework assignments and grades http://assignaday.4teachers.org for daily reading and topics of study in Room 608 http://jrhighbuzz.com for jr high fun, research, and homework help on the wwweb At the End of the HallwayWelcome to Room 608, Where Jr High Happens Everyday
Room 608 is a room full of life everyday from 7:35 am until 3:30 pm. Coco the turtle rests nicely in her bed of shavings. Batman the Hermit Crab succombs to his life in his container after his adventure at the beginning of this school year when he got out and was lost for two weeks. The room has been a-buzz while 7th graders worked on collecting insects for their first project. The collections are now awaiting their grades which are due October 23. The Life Skills class made Room 608 a popular spot when the aroma of donuts and quesidillas trickled out the door and down the hallway. The 8th grade spirit reigns in Room 608 as they work to maintain their #1 status in the pep rally competitions. The latest experiment took place the other day when 7th graders used liver to separate oxygen from hydrogen peroxide. They are hoping for another cool experiment soon.
